Overview

The Kwabo Creative Industries Incubator is a POC-led mentorship and professional development program for people of colour (POC) who want to explore, develop or strengthen their skills across the arts and creative industries, or diversify their income streams.

Over 10 weeks, participants will learn from award-winning and experienced practitioners while gaining practical, hands-on experience across three creative industries streams. Under the creative direction and leadership of Gracieuse Amah, Founder and Creative Director of Kwabo Events, participants will contribute to the creation and delivery of a real cultural experience, bringing their different skills and perspectives together as part of a shared public outcome.

As part of the program, participants will also have the opportunity to undertake a paid industry placement with one of our host partner organisations, gaining valuable workplace experience and professional connections.

You do not need to have everything figured out. You might already work in the arts, have experience organising events within your community, be an emerging creative looking for your first opportunity, or have skills from another industry that you want to bring into the creative sector.

What matters is your curiosity, your willingness to learn and your desire to contribute.

Come with your curiosity and lived experience. Leave with additional knowledge, refined skills, new connections and a stronger place in the creative ecosystem.
