Thank you for your interest in the 2026 KWABO Creative Industries Incubator.

The KWABO Creative Industries Incubator supports emerging (less than five years’ experience) People of Colour (POC) creatives to develop practical industry skills, build professional networks and gain hands-on experience through workshops, mentoring and industry placements. 2026’s incubator edition will take place form Sept 12th to Nov 15th, 10am to 2pm at Phoenix Youth Centre in Footscray.

No prior experience is required. We value lived experience, volunteering, community leadership, cultural participation and a willingness to learn just as much as formal employment.

Places are limited, and applications will be assessed as they are received. Applications will close once capacity has been reached and by latest at 11:59pm on the 6th of September 2026, so we encourage you to apply as early as possible

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview by 8th September 2026, and all applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by 9th September 2026.
